One of our favourite XK120 restorations! This ‘1951 Jaguar XK120 Works Competition Roadster’, was dispatched to it’s first owner was none other than, Lt. Col. Ronnie Hoare, Founder of Maranello Concessionaires, the UK Ferrari Importer and Race Team Manager, who was very close friends with Sir William Lyons. Today Julia finally managed to get out in our amazing ‘1951 Jaguar XK120 Works Competition Roadster’, LRW747 - a very special Jaguar Works Car. With a rich works history, KRW923 was allocated to Sir Lyons’ son, John, for his 21st birthday. John, a rising star in the Jaguar empire, showcased his driving prowess in this very car before a tragic accident at Le Mans in 1955.
