Creating Windsor Chairs From Scratch

Day One of the Pagoda Windsor Chair class is complete. Today was a productive day. We took a red oak log and split out our parts for the spindles and crest rail of the chair. We spent most of the day after on the shavehorse, peeling off shavings and working everything down close to final dimensions. We finished the day by steam bending the crest rail and getting it clamped up. Good times were had by all! . .
