Check out some of the process behind making a detailed ice dyed tapestry. I start out by prepping the fabric with a couple pre washes and a soak in soda ash solution. After laying out a design with washable marker I begin tying along all of my line work with a wax coated string. Tied tightly this creates a resist during the dyeing process.
