The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is an all-Black rodeo. Its mission is to promote the largely forgotten history of Black cowboys and cowgirls. The tour travels across the US from February to September and includes bull riding, barrel racing and calf roping. | CNN

The College National Finals Rodeo has been putting on annual shows that involve animal abuse for more than 20 years in Wyoming. While all rodeo events are cruel to animals, goat tying is a little-known “sport” that involves children, reinforcing callous tendencies while being desensitized to others’ suffering.
