5 great exercises for strengthening the triceps 💪🏼 👉🏻 Overhead triceps extensions- can be done seated or standing. Keep core tight in order to not arch the lower back. One or 2 dumbbells. Two dumbbells would be more challenging on shoulder stabilization. 👉🏻 Triceps kickbacks- can be done in the bench or standing in bentover position. ❌Stop doing overhead DB tricep extensions with 2 hands! . ❗️When we do the exercise with a dumbbell like I demonstrate, it still does obviously retain the triceps quite well in terms of the lengthened and mid range but falls short in the shortened range… let me explain. . The dumbbell is pulling us straight down with gravity which is cool, but when we fully try and contract those triceps, the shoulder blades elevate and a form of internal rotation, which is not favourable. . ❗️Consider doing one

❌Stop doing DB kicksbacks! . ❗️ Do this INSTEAD! . ⚠️I get it, it makes sense, an exercise that gets the tricep contracted quite nicely. In theory sure, but let’s break it down. . 👉When doing kickbacks, the only tension you’re actually getting is probably in the last 5-10 %of the movement when you’re contracting the tricep. That’s nonsense. . ⚠️Gravity is working against you and it actually doesn’t make any sense doing it with a DB, you’re better of doing overhead DB extensions. Grab a cable an
