With eyes wide open, this alpha female orca “spyhopped” multiple times on Sunday checking us out. It was our 3rd sighting of Killer Whales in 5 days this past week in the Channel Islands. The male orca, who we presume is her adult son, was parading around a piece of mammal in his mouth indicating they made a kill just before we arrived.
