The answer to the MOST frequently asked and seen top-layer issue
The reason this is an issue is that the next layer to print on top of it, will now be laying the layer on top of a line of hardened filament, creating a ridge in the next layer's surface. This is ultimately what causes those "thicker" lines to appear on the top most layer.

2022年11月8日 · Sort of. I didn't fix the issue, but I narrowed down the problem. It only happens with CHT 0.6mm nozzle. When I switched back to the normal 0.4 nozzle the top layer looks much better. So it's a matter of some top layer settings when using CHT 0.6mm nozzle, but I didn't figure out what exactly.

2023年12月4日 · Infill - your top surface layers print smoother of the infill beneath them are A) dense enough and B) oriented properly so add to provide a roughly perpendicular base for the first of your top surface layers (look in preview) Top Surface Thickness - at least three layers. More if you're printing thin layer heights.

2023年8月12日 · The second picture tells that the used layer height is not great for this model. I would use 0.12 to get a smooth surface the longer time the print needed is worth it. layer height: 0.12 number of top layer: 5 infill: gyroid 15% perimeters/walls:4 before that run a temp test to find the ideal and highest temp the filament you use can handle.

2024年1月5日 · I have a 4 plus and the top layer of my prints is coming out kinda rough. Everything is printing fine and the prints look pretty good. The top layer just seems rougher to the touch and eye then prints made on my other printers. Like i just printed a base for an xmen statue and some sections are rougher then others. So maybe its a leveling issue.
