New 6th & 7th Gen iPod Touch | MacRumors Forums
2013年7月16日 · Pleasant surprise today. I took my 6th & 7th Gen iPod touch to the Apple Store to get the batteries replaced. Turns out they will exchange them for brand new iPods - for a fee. I purchased the 6th Gen model in 2015. Both still run, but the 6th Gen only holds a charge for a little over 2 hours. I'm so happy to be getting new iPods.

2014年2月9日 · The battery on the iPod touch 7 is better as the newer processor I think handles the power use better. That being said, last week my three month old iPod touch 7 started draining so quickly that if I just sat it down and did nothing with it, it would be dead in 3-4 hours.

2016年10月24日 · Brief update. So I streamed internet radio for a about an hour and have been listening to local music for another hour-ish. My iPod touch went from 100% to 85%. I don't think that's bad given that it was an hour of constant internet fetching. Seems to be a bit better than what I got on my 6th generation.

My two aging 160GB (really 148GB max) Classics are old hardware no longer supported by Apple and will soon or later expire. I was pushing their limits already with 17,000+, and growing iTunes tracks.
