Rob and Angie went on to have three children: Levi, Jacob, and Emily. Rob, Levi, and Jacob began performing as a father-son trio in 2017 and when they needed a name, Rob reached out to some old friends and decided to re-launch The Sound as an all-new variant of christian music.

Jacob Mills - The Sound
Jacob Mills is the guitar player and utility musician for The Sound. From Detroit, Michigan, Jake first picked up a bass guitar at the age of 10. “I didn’t have much interest in music up until that time,” he shares with a smile, “but once I started playing it was like I just couldn’t stop.”
