Classic Southern girl names...help! - The Bump
I live in the South. Names that are Southern to me are very classic names (Margaret, Elizabeth, Caroline, Catherine, etc), family surnames as first names, and double names. I LOVE double names--Betsy was almost named Mary Eleanor (Mary Nell), and we also considered Anne Everett. Girls I know with double names include:

As I think more on it the "southern belles" I know have either cute funny NNs (like Tillie), classic full names (like Elizabeth) or double names with the second name being a family surname or a classic name like Jane (per my above post, not the more country sounding second name of something like Mae)
First names to go with middle name "Mae"... - The Bump
2005年3月11日 · Our DS is Andrew, and the middle name for a girl baby will be Mae after my grandmother. My top choices right now are Allison, Anna, Natalie or Meredith, but my DH doesn't like Allison or Meredith, and I think Anna and Andrew are too similar.

2010年6月19日 · We use first names, Like Miss whoever. I don't think formality is needed with a 2 year old and basically I think DD just thinks peoples names are "Miss so and so" because she doesn't get that "Miss" is an etiquette thing. Sometimes she'll call me Miss Dawn. Ha ha.
Middle names for Sloane (girl) — The Bump
I love this name! I've been trying to sell my husband on it. We find out baby's gender this coming Tuesday, and he had (seemingly) jokingly said before that if it's a girl (he swears it's a boy), then I can have 51% of the naming rights. Verbal contract! Verbal contract!

I have a Mateo and get complimented on his name all.the.time. LOVE his name soooo much!!! I also have a Lucas (LOVE that name too) - not so much hispanic, but my IL's call him Luca (not that I like it, but it's an option) We have also considered the names Benicio and Leonardo (Leo).
