Xperia battery life has always been bad, and to be honest for the price of the Pro-i, perhaps the biggest letdown is the 30W charging, when my Xiaomi has 67W and charges to full in about 35 minutes (the Xperia takes about 95 minutes).

Good to know. I'm an American, so that means the only Sony Xperia phone with an actual warranty that isn't a 3rd generation, 4th generation, or Pro-I is the Sony Xperia 1 V 256 GB, which currently costs $1,400 USD.

If your choices are Xperia 1 V and Pixel 8, personally I'd take my chances with Sony if you do/capable of upgrading every 0-3 years aka money isn't a concern, if you need to make a long term, then Pixel 8 and be prepared for issues and how you can or cant use it.
