Some "later" German manufactured guns, the proofs were placed on the barrels themselves, like this P245 barrel. On some other models, like the P230/P232 they were on the right side of the Slide like this P230.

2023年12月24日 · Unfortunately Sig has not published the P220 Carry Recoil Spring tension, so changing tension ratings may be a gamble. Considering a Colt Officer uses a 22# and a Commander a 18#, a 20# rate may be a workable gamble. Wolff has both a 19# and 21# Recoil Springs for P229s which I would recommend always go from heavier to lighter when testing

2021年7月2日 · I bought a couple so far — CZ 97B, Sig P220 ST (USA slide / German frame) — both in lightly used condition. I sold the CZ immediately, because the trigger was set way too far forward for my short little fingers. (I wear mens medium size gloves.) The P220 ST is a lot better.

If the P220/226 .45 and 9mm variants were easier and faster to shoot and easier on the shooter, they would be dominating the IPSC world. They aren't. The 1911 platform does. That being said, the P220, P226, and P229 are well-proven and remain my favorite DA/SA pistolas. i carry them quite often, but the 1911 is King.
