Samsung? Ipad? GarminPilot? Foreflight? - Pilots of America
2020年3月4日 · May 2, 2020. #1. This may have bee covered many times before, but I am just in the market for getting started with some kind of flight computer. My desires are leaning toward Samsung/Garmin Pilot. Reading somewhere that Garmin Pilot was created for aviation, whereas Foreflight was created to sell IPads, I like the Garmin Pilot idea better.

2020年11月7日 · The big problem with Android tablets is vendor bloatware. Samsung is the only manufacturer still building premium spec'd tablets, and they insist on skinning the interface and installing their own apps for cloud storage, etc. I recently bought a Tab 8" and tried to make GP work on it. Basically unusable.

Garmin Pilot just didn't look appealing. I toyed with Foreflight for a bit, because Foreflight, but I prefer the interface and simplicity of iFly.

2022年5月13日 · Lenovo, Samsung, and Huawei all make 8" tablets, but they are seriously out of date OS-wise, and the OS can no longer be updated. The Huawei M5 is a beast of a tablet with an incredible screen. Most of the currently available 8" tablets have fairly low-resolution (1200x800) screens. It's too bad, as the 8" screen is a very useful size.

The tablet can be hard to read depending on where the sun is, while there has never been an issue with the 740. iFly is working on a new release called EFB that has lots of bells and whistles, but won't run on the 74xx series - not enough CPU for the new version.
