Sep 15, 2015 · The Thunderbolts work great, but I have to make sure I clean the barrel after EVERY use. At least the SR22 is a lot easier to breakdown than the Mark II or III. 22 lr works the best in mine. Agreed on a break in period, after about 500 rounds it shoots anything.

I wonder if this pistol has any particular value above other Ruger pistols since it's 50+ years old? I'm figuring the value of my collection for insurance purposes.

If it's got optics then - Covers on, Dissemble, Spray soak with WD-40, bore snaked, wiped down, lather, rinse, repeat until it's shiny again, reassemble, reload, fire.
