2016年8月1日 · BTW, Fords 7.3 w/10spd & 3.73 gears doesnt impress me over the 6.2 w/6spd & 3.55 gears as far as fuel economy with this gasser. My 6.2 got 10mpg pulling the same trailer in tow mode (full time) and better engine/trans response up the same hills IMO.

The 10 speed makes a lot of difference getting the power to the ground, that's why Ford now has a gas engine that is starting make folks take a second look. One thing I've always done with a gas engines is make sure I get the lowest gears available (4.30) and keep my tow weight no more than 75-80% of maximum.

2020年5月10日 · This is not a thread about diesel vs gas. If you haven't driven and pulled with the 2020 7.3 10 speed 4.30 geared truck you might be in for a big surprise. This engine was designed for the middle ground where a 6.2 might not be enough and a diesel is overkill.
