I know; I have a Model 1100 LT20 Magnum (1978 vintage) with the original barrel and no barrel code, and an 870 12 gauge Magnum (circa 1976) with the original barrel, also with no code, and finally an 1100 28 gauge (Probably 1976 or 1977) with no barrel codes.

2004年12月12日 · The quality would be the same when comparing the same models. For instance, Standard 20 Wingmaster to LW 20 Wingmaster. But if you look at the Express model, it won't be the same quality as a Wingmaster. If you want a really FAST handling, lightweight 20 gauge 870 pump, see if you can find a "Special Field" model. That's what I shoot.

This concentrates the weight in the middle of the gun and makes for a very fast shooting gun, perfect for shooting birds when tangled in the brush. I have added a pad (portable) on the comb for drop; put in special shims for cast; have Limbmaster recoil pads, I also had to add recoil spacers to get 15.5 " LOP.

To expound a bit if this is a fixed choke gun I personally wouldn't shoot slugs out of that bbl if it is fixed full although some do w/ full chokes and have no issues but the general consensus is use a modified or looser choke for slugs.
