The Hangang Bridge bombing (Korean: 한강 인도교 폭파; Hanja: 漢江人道橋爆破) was a demolition operation conducted by the South Korean Army to destroy the Hangang Bridge in Seoul, South Korea, on 28 June 1950, to delay the rapid North Korean advance towards the city.

It was in the early morning on June 28 that a fateful decision was made to destroy the bridge in an effort to prevent the advancing North Korean forces from crossing the river.

At the time of Korean War there was only one bridge over the over the Han river in Seoul and it was destroyed by North Korean troops. After the war many bridges were built and there now are a couple dozen bridges over the river.
