Anatomy of rodent and human livers: What are the differences?
2019年5月1日 · Our main conclusion is that the Bauplan of the liver in the mammalian class of vertebrates is invariant and that the main differences are quantitative in nature: the size of the liver determines the number of lobules, and the degree to which fissures have formed determines whether a liver is (partially) lobated or non-lobated.
A comparative study of the anatomy of rat and human livers
The rat livers had four lobes (left, middle, right, and caudate). The left and middle lobes formed a single lobe but the middle lobe had a deep notch to which the round ligament attached. The right lobe was split into two sub-lobes and the caudate lobe was divided into the paracaval portion and the Spiegel lobe, which was split into two sub-lobes.
Intrahepatic Vascular Anatomy in Rats and Mice—Variations and …
The intra-hepatic vascular anatomy in rodents, its variations and corresponding supplying and draining territories in respect to the lobar structure of the liver have not been described. We performed a detailed anatomical imaging study in rats and ...
Anatomy of rat liver and human liver.: (A) Visceral surface of the rat …
Anatomy of rat liver and human liver.: (A) Visceral surface of the rat liver showing lobes and their mean relative weight. The caudate lobe (CL) is formed by the CP, AC and PC, the...
A comparative study of the anatomy of rat and human livers
The fundamental structures of rat and human livers were similar, and the findings demonstrated a new interpretation of the anatomy of the human liver. To compare the fundamental structure of the human liver, in relation to that of the rat a comparative study …
macroscopic anatomy of the liver of the rat, rabbit, guinea pig and chinchilla was studied from a comparative standpoint. The topography, lobulation and the connection elements of the liver were examined by detailed in situ
Embryology, Anatomy, Histology, and Ultrastructure of the Liver, Rat ...
In the rat, as in other mammalian species, the liver develops from a ventral outgrowth of the gut entoderm. The earliest recognizable liver parenchyma is found at day 10 post coitum and consists of buds of epithelial cords embedded in splanchnic mesoderm (Henneberg...
The Anatomy and Physiology of Laboratory Rat | SpringerLink
2021年7月24日 · The liver of the rat is multi-lobulated and can be divided into four major lobes: (1) left lobe, (2) median/cystic lobe, (3) right lateral lobe, and (4) caudate (Fig. 9.10). The liver constitutes about 6% of the total body weight . The liver plays a very important role in nutrient processing, energy homeostasis, and detoxification.
Surgical anatomy of the liver, hepatic vasculature and bile ... - PubMed
In this study, we describe the rat liver topographical anatomy, compare it with the human liver and review the literature. Increased knowledge of the rat liver anatomy and microsurgical skills permit individualized dissection, parenchymal section, embolization and ligature of vascular and biliary br …
Anatomy of rodent and human livers: What are the differences?
2019年5月1日 · Obvious differences, such as the presence (rodents) or absence (humans) of lobation and the presence (mice, humans) or absence (rats) of a gallbladder, suggest qualitative differences between the livers of these species. After review, however, we conclude that these dissimilarities represent relatively small quantitative differences.
