2010年3月22日 · I agree with the other fellows, many would say that a transitive use of jugar in such a phrase is a grammar mistake, a calque from English “I play + name of sport/game”. "Jugar" can be used as a transitive verb when you are referring to particular match: "Mañana voy a jugar un partido de fútbol con mis compañeros de oficina". Saludos
