Set physx to GPU or CPU? (using Nvidia CP)
Normally the GPU will handle PhysX much better than the CPU. Auto setting will set the PhysX processor as the primary GPU or a dedicated PhysX card if you have one.

2018年8月9日 · If your card supports it it means it already has the hardware optimized and specialized for it. Physx is an nVidia specific piece of tech. Not every card supports it. But most do. Really unless the gap between your vid card and cpu is that vast, its always better to run physx off the GPU.

I've noticed in my NVIDIA Control Panel there is an option to choose my "PhysX processor", either auto-select, the GPU or CPU.

2017年11月3日 · I use a 660ti for my physx card, so long as the card isn't too old, it shouldn't bottleneck the fps with physx. You might be able to try the hybrid physx with amd, but that requires an old driver iirc.

do you have a Nvidia GPU? if this game supports GPU physX than check if your PhysX in NVCP is set to GPU/auto and not CPU, I assume if you have AMD GPU the it would default to CPU

A GPU is only needed for the APEX PhysX features which can be accelerated in the hardware. ArmA III does not use these features and therefore will still not offload it's PhysX code onto the GPU. Changing the setting in this case will have absolutely no effect on performance.
