2008年5月19日 · The will loose color if you had them under metal halide before.....lighting is the most important factor in color just like a lot of other corals. they will live just fine, but may not be as bright as they were under halides, plus halide light just looks different than PC light so no matter what they will look like a different color.

The color has turned nearly a pale milk chocolate with transluscent purple tips and major green polyp extension. FYI: The two background corals actually arrived after 3 days in a box and 40 degree weather and all lived without acclimation.

When the polyps are contracted the zooxanthellae are all closer together and the coral appears to have more color because of their density. When the polyps are extended they are spread farther apart and the coloring appears to be faded.

For the Color Coloration, it seems to have improved color by maybe 10% on the pocci and the blue-tip acro, but the tri-color is browner than ever. Thoughts:
