2016年8月18日 · as far as i know, PCI-E slots are backwards compatible so it doesn't matter if you are using 1.1 slots. Yes the mobo determines which is used. The only thing is, is using a PCI-E 3 slot will get you better performance but not by a huge amount so it will be fine for use.

I currently have (again, don't laugh) an ATI HD4670 card in it and am trying to install an AMD Radeon R5 430 on the board. I know that the AMD Radeon R5 430 is a PCIe 3.0 card and according to all that I can find, it should be backwards compatible and work.

2011年1月21日 · okay yes, that makes sense. so in theory two same gpu's in this case just say a 550Ti. each on a pciE x16 slot, with one being the 1.1 and one being on a 2.0, the one in the 2.0 slot would technically perform slightly better,but more then likely wouldn't be a noticeable difference in the sense of say FPS increase.
