2023年8月8日 · Skypiea- One of the most exciting arcs in the series. I loved the lore building of the arc (both during and after the arc) and the fights were all pretty cool. One of the rare arcs where I felt every straw hat multiple good moments.

Davy Back Fight. Just felt like a filler. The most disappointing though is Skypiea. For One Piece standards, it had a lot of writing inconsistencies and it is the One Piece arc that has the most PLOT HOLES. Reject Dial, Pagaya surviving (or everyone struck by Enel's lightning except Luffy) and the wings (minor stuff but eh).

At least most filler arcs are contained in their filler and have no relation to the story but that one always haunts me. (I read the manga and watch the anime, I know in the manga they’d honestly never encountered a Dragon before Punk Hazard, but a little piece of me thought the anime would keep some continuity between filler and main)

2022年5月20日 · Another thing I love about One Piece is the humor and whimsy, which were understandably mostly missing from Marineford. I'm not hugely invested in fights or powerscaling either, so while I appreciated the clashes and displays of power we saw it wasn't enough to push any of the other arcs out of the top five spots.
