how much does an olympic size bar actually weigh?
2008年1月7日 · i was always told 45 lbs. i personally own two olympic size weight bench bars and one is made by golds gym and the other i dont know it came with the bench set. Neither of them weigh 45 lbs. I weighed them with a house scale that i weigh myself on - i hope that doesnt decrease accuracy. The golds gym bar is 7' 2" and weighs 38 lbs.

2011年11月22日 · wait wot, the standard bar is 55lbs? I thought the olympic bars were 35lbs and the others were 45lb, didn't know any bars were 55lbs. brb going to weigh bar in my basement. edit: bar weighed in @ 41lbs. intredasting, I thought it was 45.

Restoring / Rehabbing Olympic Bars and Weights
2014年8月20日 · Can anyone please give me advice on the best method (with cheaper cost alternatives as I'm broke) for rehabbing my olympic bars and the inside rings of my plates? The plates are getting stuck on the sleeves and the rust is building up on the wide knurling due to the rust on the rack pins. So, also, any suggestions on removing the rust on the rack?

2011年7月11日 · In your opinion which bar is easier to hold? I ask because I currently use a standard bar when I deadlift and I struggle to hold even 230 without a mixed grip. Is a standard bar harder to hold, or is my grip just ****ty? I usually dead lift 4x8. With a mixed grip I am fine, but with a normal pronated I struggle. Thanks in advance!

2005年1月13日 · How much weight can you safely load onto a non-olympic, spin-lock barbell? The bar is about 5-6 feet in length. I will be purchasing it next week. If it can hold close to 400lbs, then I will be satisfied. I will be using this barbell primarily for squats. Any guesses guys?
