However, after a while just like every other meme, they become unfunny. Which Nintendo related meme did you find funny at first, but now think otherwise due to it being overused? I’m personally going to go with the Yoshi tax fraud meme, it was funny at first, but then it eventually got annoying after being used anytime Yoshi is brought up.

Nintendo’s target audience are families and their children, but their games are accessible to everyone. Games like Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and Zelda appeal more to an older audience, but the target demographic in general for Nintendo is mostly children. Then again, I haven’t heard this critique for Nintendo games in years.

Why is the Nintendo Switch associated with “soy boys” now?
Because when the "soy boy" meme first developed, some of the prime examples of the soy face that were reposted frequently happened to be people being excited over their Nintendo Switch. Thus, the quintessential soy boy was a balding middle-aged manchild with liberal/SJW opinions that gets excited over consoles/games aimed at children (ie Nintendo).

The console itself is vastly underpowered, the graphics suck, the games are a fraction of the length and quality of literally any other gaming platform, and it all costs the exact same. What an absolute joke of a gaming company Nintendo turned into. As far as I can see the only reason to purchase Nintendo products is if you have a kid.
