What is the best Mallsoft album, in your opinion? I'm an outsider.
2021年1月4日 · This won't be a professional review btw. I don't know anything about music theory so it's just gonna be the thoughts of a random guy). The list I'm following is Wikipedia's list of the most popular music genres in a randomized order. I'm planning to listen to one album per day and this time the genre is Mallsoft.

2018年10月10日 · What makes Mallsoft so special to me is that it places me in physical context first, and makes the emotional aspect secondary. "Here I am, in a mall, on Mars.". It's very unique in this way, I can't think of any other genre of music trying to do something similar.

2019年3月27日 · Thanks! Mallsoft is honestly one of my favorite genres of music and it's been leading me farther and farther down the rabbit hole of listening to and creating experimental music. I think it's hard to find info on Mallsoft in general due to it being a sub-genre of a micro-genre that is basically an internet meme (vaporwave).

2019年11月19日 · As far as Mallsoft goes I don't think it gets any better than Palm Mall and Palm Mall Mars by u/CatSystemCorp. I also feel like his records Sunday Television, News at 11, and Sandrawave loosely fit that open mall vibe but I would start with Palm Mall first.

2022年7月12日 · I'd say it's vaporwave without the irony, which would make it a sibling rather than a subgenre. Or maybe mallsoft is the group that includes vaporwave. Idk, it just feels like calling mallsoft a subgenre of vaporwave is wrong but also genres are determined by the masses so it's up to you as much as me.
