Oct 28, 2024 · Speaking for myself: I'm using an M1 Mac mini – a system similar to your MacBook Air – and I don't perceive a drop in performance; I intend to continue upgrading to new OS releases in the future. (I haven't yet installed OS 18.1, though, which sounds like something of a fundamental architecture shift with the big Apple Intelligence features.

Jan 16, 2021 · Our Macbook Air M1 with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD arrived just yesterday evening. I updated it to Big Sur 11.1 and then proceeded to restore from a TimeMachine backup of our mac Mini M1 running Big Sur 11.1. It was a fresh TimeMachine on an USB-C SSD.

Jan 7, 2021 · The 30W charger from the MacBook Air definitely doesn't have enough power to supply both USB-C and USB-A ports on my Caldigit SOHO dock. My M1 MacBook Air goes to sleep when using clamshell mode if I plug in an ethernet adapter and then a thumb drive. I guess if the charge falls off, the power circuit thinks the MBA isn't plugged in to the charger.

Sep 9, 2024 · Detached the battery then charged the laptop, still nothing. I even tried to revive my laptop with another macbook by downloading the apple configurator and doing dfu but still nothing. Does anybody have answers?Don't know what to do at this point and don't want to spend 1,000 dollars on another macbook air m1. Don't have a warranty.
