2022年10月21日 · Definitely worth it for a couple of days of use, especially as a college student - I've been a member since 2016 and have seen it all, both the positives and negatives, so happy to answer any more specific questions. They advertise $80.50/day but a quick check of current rates shows some down to $75.50/day.

2016年2月2日 · Zipcar isn't really intended for commuting, but for running errands, quick day trips, that kind of thing. It's probably cheaper to get an Uber/Lyft if you have to drive to work (or public transportation or a bike would be even cheaper, if options).

2022年12月12日 · Those of you using ZipCar for daily rentals, I’d recommend checking out Kyte. They drop off and pick up the car at your house (or specified location), and daily rates are around $50/day. It’s an actual rental car agency as opposed to GetAround/Turo, so you may be protected by your credit card or insurance company in the even if an accident.

2013年10月4日 · Zipcar is good for the occasional errand, and if you plan a little bit you can do a weekend rental with Hertz or any of the other companies pretty cheaply (lowest I've gotten is $50 for 2 days). The benefits include not dealing with daily parking (and tickets), no insurance, no maintenance, and no gas.

2023年1月21日 · Second this. I've been using Zipcar for 10 years. It's great for running errands like groceries. It gets expensive when you want a car for a weekend for example, but the ease of picking up a car makes it worth it compared to rental companies that have a bunch of paperwork before you get on the road.

2023年4月9日 · The main reason I use ZipCar is that there just aren't any locations of major car rental brands near me. I do still use Enterprise, Alamo, etc. for multi-day trips, but for a 1-day rental the hassle of going at least 2 miles for pickup and drop-off isn't worth it.
