Our expansive new gallery is home to multiple shark species and is overflowing with suspense and adventure. With epic views and unique encounters — including a cage dive! — this gallery will transport you to the dark depths of the oceans to meet our newest residents.

Georgia Aquarium’s focus is to provide a fresh perspective on the vital role sharks play in the health of the ocean. Sharks face many challenges, like overfishing and habitat loss — but humans pose the biggest threat to sharks. In this immersive new gallery, you’ll learn more about these top predators and their importance to our world.

Be prepared to see hammerhead, silver tip, sand tiger, and tiger sharks from above. You’ll have the chance to see a Hammerhead training session, discuss methods of animal husbandry with members of the Animal Care team, and learn about shark conservation efforts before taking a ride in our cage over the habitat.
