First and foremost if your sister’s DCIS is hormone receptor positive she needs to stop hormone replacement therapy immediately - estrogen is her enemy. Once she does she can be monitored closely and take a “wait and see” approach if she doesn’t want to take an estrogen blocker

So my drop in estrogen could be much more extreme than the average person. My joint aches are pretty intense but finally improving. I have had severe dizziness (that has seem to subsided by moving my dosing of anastrozole from late afternoon to first thing am) sleeping and hot flashes have improved overnight with the shift in timing of dosing.

2014年4月1日 · So much valuable information. I had a lumpectomy March, 2014 (DCIS) Onco score 21. Margins clean/did not spread to lymph nodes. Estrogen is my issue; decided to bypass rad treatments and Tamoxifen, opting instead to take I3C and DIM. I also take grapeseed extract. My hot flashes are back (a sign that the estrogen is being blocked).

The strongest estrogen blocker that is natural is DIM. According to my naturopathic doctor, DIM does not have a variant in brands or dosing. Best yet, it is derived from a concentration of cruciferous vegetables. I also juice kale, broccoli, red cabbage. Best, Annabananas

If the natural supplement worked at getting rid of estrogen, wouldn't the side effects be the same? I thought my side effects were from estrogen deprivation. I have read (on the actual drug insert) that 20% of the usual dose of Femara is actually effective. My doc sometimes suggests half a dose to see if side effects get better.
