2014年5月3日 · I have an 08 420 foot shift. Neutral light won’t come on and it won’t start. Grounded the lg/r wire and neutral light comes on but still won’t start. Any advice on what to do. Don’t feel like pulling the cover off and replace switch.

2010年4月6日 · The reverse light should still work. The neutral light sensor or switch is located at the bottom, right side of the engine, behind the foot peg. It is covered by a thin metal plate with one 8mm bolt holding it on. The picture below shows, both the neutral and reverse switch, without the metal plate covering them.

2020年7月5日 · Next logical step (for us) was to bypass same two wires from a different location, so we ran the jumper from just forward of the switch to the same spot on wire to starter. Nothing. Beginning to think it wasn’t done to bypass the switch, but that someone was a genius and found out how to make it run without uncovering the real problem.

Sorry i am not explaining thing to well this morning. The revers and neutral switch are the same on this unit. try grounding the blue/black wire that is coming from the wire harness to the neutral switch. that should put it in the electrical system in neutral. you may want to find the problem with the system as it could cause improper running issues on this system.

The Neutral safety switch checks out fine with the ohm meter. There is continuity in all gear shifter positions. But the truck will not start.
