A Brief History - avemariaparish
Ave Maria Catholic Church was originally established as an "oratory" or a "quasi-parish" by Bishop Frank Dewane. According to canon law, "a quasi-parish is a definite community of the Christian faithful in a particular church, entrusted to a priest as its proper pastor but not yet erected as a parish because of particular circumstances."

COME VISIT US - avemariaparish
Guided public tours of the Church are freely offered during season in association with Ave Maria Trolley Days which have historically been on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in January going through March. The tours begin at 1pm after the 12-noon Mass.

Baptism marks the beginning of the life of faith and incorporates a person into the Body of Christ. Parents of the child to be baptized should be registered and active members of Ave Maria Parish for at least one month prior to requesting the Sacrament of Baptism for your child.
