2017年5月13日 · Here is more information on the 3.2 engine from Volvo. Driving it, I do like the CPS (Cam Profile Switching), or as Honda calls their version, VTEC. Along with the variable intake cam timing and Variable Intake System (VIS), it helps round out the engine power delivery. No issues with dependability with any of those systems.

The V8 is a superior engine for hauling around all that weight and potential loads. The 3.2 is more utilitarian - OK if you regard your car as a hauler for groceries, stuff from Home Depot, ferrying the babies around. The engine can be quite loud when accelarating rapidly, but despite the car's weight is feels adaquate.

I have two engine code 85 (B8444S) US spec vehicles- my VINs look like this: YV4CZ852X61xxxxxx (MY06) and YV4CT852881xxxxxx (MY08) with the engine code in positions 6 and 7. My old '05 5 cylinder was YV1CM59 (somebody else owns this vehicle) so at least up to MY08 follows the same pattern.

2018年5月31日 · All XC90 engine variants will need engine mounts. The 3.2 does not have the same type of upper torque mount style as the 2.5 or V8, but has one on the passenger side. Replace the front, rear, upper passenger side, lower passenger side, and the transmission torque mount under the driver's front side.

2015年3月26日 · The 3.2 liter, while a fine engine, is not a 100% Volvo-designed motor. The 5 cylinder is all Volvo since 1993, and probably the most reliable engine they have made in modern history. Plus, the torque just makes it 100x more fun than the 3.2.
