Square-shaped faces will look great with floppy hats and other wide-brim styles, such as cowboy hats and sun hats. Heart-shaped faces look best with a fedora, baseball cap or a newsboy cap. The short brim helps de-accentuate the wider forehead of a heart-shaped face.

The montera hat has its roots in the traditional folk dress of the Iberian peninsula.
