2023年8月21日 · The SAX2V1S is hot garbage. When I upgraded my service to 1 gig, I requested them to send me a WiFi 6E router since my new MacBook Pro supports 6E. And lo and behold, I'm hitting greater than 1gbps on speedtests on my Mac.

2022年8月15日 · That router is Spectrum's " Home Advanced Wifi Router" It's supposed to be a mesh router because you can buy pods for it. I agree with everything you said but there is one correction. Since it acts like a mesh router it has one ssid and should be able to connect to either 2G or 5G. I agree this router struggles with the 2G.

2022年3月20日 · I put my SAX1V1K back in the box, the Wi-Fi part of that router is not that good, it plainly sucks and there are better options out there. I tried Netgear nighthawk AX6000 great with Wi-Fi, but piss poor wired. I tried a couple of others, and same thing either decent wireless or decent wired, but not great at both.

2022年10月13日 · This is gonna sound dumb as hell, but try wrapping the router in 2 layers of tinfoil. There's no actual configuration option for a dedicated 2.4Ghz connection (or more accurately, that option is completely hidden with no way to access it), but if you can block the 5Ghz signal, you should be golden.

2022年5月5日 · Is there any way to connect to this router to change the wifi credentials without the app? I tried typing in 192.168.1.1 which loads the router's page but its just a splash page to get you to download the app. Is controlling the router via a PC no longer an option? Thanks!

2021年1月15日 · Alright I already know the basic router info crap, MySpectrum app to change settings, but those aren't the advanced settings. So I know that if you go to 192.168.1.1/warehouse it asks for a login. So I assume that there's an open port on the router for the MySpectrum app to remotely access and change your settings using the correct credentials.
any way to access your router without the spectrum app?
2022年6月14日 · If the router isn't locked down, put 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 in your browser and you should get the router admin pages. 192.168.100.1 may get you the modem admin, but in my experience it does not work with Spectrum modems. As others have said, ASAP stop using their shitty lowest bidder garbage and get your own.

2023年10月5日 · We have experienced many problems with the K router with 300 Mbps, and more issues at 1Gpps with the S version. The R version is WI-FI 6 certified and may work. The web keeps few secrets. I brought a Netgear Nighthawk 6E router and things are running fine. Please go shopping and save the headaches. I would suggest newer Wi-Fi 6 or 6E router.

2020年4月14日 · its not a modem/router in 1 box, its a modem and then its the router, so technically i could just disconnect the router and use my old apple airport extreme thats like 5 years old. Not sure if that one supports port forwarding stuff tho. Also, what do you mean by having them bridge it?
