The Graduated Driver License Skills Test Eligibility Letter- Ensure the letter is within seven days of the print date. If you fail the road skills test, you must wait seven full days before retaking the test.
Welcome - DRIVE
Effective January 1, 2025, all Kentuckians must undergo a vision screening to renew their license. Vision screenings can be completed at no cost at any Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Driver Licensing Regional Office at the time of license renewal.
Drivers License and ID Card Online Renewal - DRIVE

First Issuance - DRIVE
A Free Voter ID application must be submitted at the time of the issuance to ensure eligibility requirements are met. Qualifications To Receive A Free Voter ID: Must be eligible to vote. Must be registered to vote or register to vote upon issuance. Must not possess another state-issued credential from Kentucky or another jurisdiction
KY State Traffic School - DRIVE
Drivers from other states that receive a ticket/citation in Kentucky are not eligible for Kentucky's State Traffic School program. Out-of-state drivers must contact the driver licensing bureau of their home state to determine traffic school eligibility.

Kentucky Ignition Interlock Program (KIIP) - DRIVE
Eligibility is based on activity in your five (5) year driver history record. You may not be eligible for an Ignition Interlock license if any convictions appear on your driver history record pursuant to KRS 186.56.
Military Personnel and Veterans - DRIVE
Show proof of eligibility to the County Clerk - a current military "Armed Forces of the United States ID card" or the Department of Defense Form 214 (DD-214) that states the condition of discharge or discharge papers.
