2023年12月27日 · Sad to see that Tommy Smothers passed away yesterday. One of my earliest yoyos was a blue Smothers Brothers wood fixie. May each of us have the opportunity to experience that state of Yo and throw a bit today in commemoration! Though he played a naïve buffoon onstage, he was the driving force behind the folk-singing duo’s groundbreaking TV show.

In the early 1980's, Tom received the song, "(I'm a) Yo-Yo Man" from Rick Cunha. He remembered a few yo-yo tricks from his childhood and added them to his performance to the song.
