2022年4月19日 · Don't get large syringes, get the smaller ones. Smaller 3 to 10 ml produce more pressure quicker and flow better than the large 30 and 60 ml ones. I do use the 30's in my shop with titebond original thinned about 5 to maybe 10 percent on larger projects. Be careful too thin and it looses all strength.
Injecting glue under veneer with a syringe. Is this possible?
2011年7月30日 · Before trying to inject glue, try some heat. Use an iron set on medium high, lay down a clean cloth, apply the iron. This should activate the original glue. You can use a roller to press the veneer down as it begins to cool and then clamp things down with a piece of flat plywood, heavily weighted.

2004年9月27日 · Woodcraft used to carry (perhaps still does) a sort of heavy duty syringe called a glue injector. I got one of these and have used it several times. It is amazingly effective. I used it to inject glue into stairway baluster joints. It is incredible how much glue you can force through a 1/32" hole with this thing.

2014年6月16日 · Here's another trick, don't recall where I read about this: Squirt some glue into a plastic soda straw. Holding it horizontal, pinch that end shut. Weasel that flattened end into the crack. Now, roll up the other end like the end of a toothpaste tube. The air pressure in the straw pushes the glue into the slot/crack. rubberduck and BZawat.

The "wood syringes" I've seen marketed have a tip about as wide as the end of my thumb, for filling in considerably larger cracks.

If it hasn't completed stabilizing yet the crack may continue to grow. When the wood is stable injecting glue into the crack should allow you to fill the void.

Try wiggling the joint while injecting the alcohol and you may need to drill a few small holes into the joint for access. It may take a while but you should get it apart eventually.

2013年5月11日 · It does not scratch the surface at all because no force need be applied to the surface and the glue pops off. I bet even a plastic spatula with a good edge will work. Hot water may also work. I use glue syringes to squeeze glue into cracks and joints and the glue often dries in the syringe. I clean them up with hot water only.
