Correct color for the Kremer Porsche 935 (Vaillant)?
935k3. 10-11-2010, 07:50 PM. I would not spray it on bare plastic. I would use a good light gray or white automotive primer like Plastikote T-235 White sandable primer. Also it is not glossy as it is made to spray inside of a clear body. It's not flat but it will need a clear coat. It's a hassle but is the only accurate paint for that car.

2007年12月17日 · Why not just use sandable white primer from the start? I work in 1/43, and like to keep my paint coats just thick enough to fully cover what's underneath, with no excess. That way I get sharper panel lines and details. But for red and light-colored cars I've been using grey primer, then white, then two or three color coats.

2008年1月1日 · Applied the BIN shellac to bare red plastic and over DC primer gray and white. All scenarios worked. Thanks for the BIN shellac recommendation. Hope this helps in your bleed-thru situation. Also, painted some bare red plastic parts with DC black primer and then Tamiya TS-23 Light Blue. No bleed thru.

2003年1月21日 · To give a couple of examples. The yellow Promarkt was primed with matt-white but the green sonax wasn't. The 300 SL 24 posted recently was primed because lacquer, but the Porsche 911 Turbolook wasn't. I usually do use Tamiya paints but seeing that I was in school and I'm low on cash (being young sux) and the nearest hobbyshop is an hour away I just ran into Walmart and grabbed a can of this crap.

For die cast cars you would want to use automotive primer. For metals that are smooth as described above thi Mr Metal primer or Tamiya clear primer are better.

2005年12月3日 · You will the need to wash the basecoat off with thinner. The thinner will cut everything except 2k products. After cleaning let the 2K primer sit over night before reapplying the basecoat. I would also sand with 600 wet to expose clean primer before re-applying the basecoat.
