It’s the Torne River that provides Icehotel with its ice in winter – and in the summer when the hotel melts, the water returns to its source. For us the natural beauty and unique story of each individual block of ice provides inspiration that can never be found in artificially frozen ice.

The Nordic chalets are wood paneled cabins located along a small passage only a couple of minutes’ walk from the main reception, Icehotel, the shop and the main restaurant.

Icehotel is located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle, in Swedish Lapland. The closest airport and train station is in Kiruna, with daily connections from Stockholm. The flight takes about 90 minutes.
