2020年5月30日 · Once the USB device (in this case the SD Card within the radio) is assigned to Windows it should soon show up in Windows Explorer with a drive letter and also in Sentinel's popup when selecting Read or Write Scanner. I have run Parallels on the Mac for years with Sentinel, ProScan, ARC-xx and others and most things will work well.

I believe any licensing costs are paid for by Uniden and passed along to the end users as an inclusion in the price paid for the scanner, which is necessary for firmware updates anyway.

2021年10月18日 · When you check for a database update in Sentinel it also checks for it's own version upgrades and will notify if there is a new version. I think the last update was when the SDS200 was announced. Of course the database is updated weekly and firmware for the radios as needed but these are independent of the Sentinel version updates.

My OS is Windows 10 Home (x64) Version 1803 (build 17134.472) and has .NET Framework 4.7.2. Sentinel refuses to install even as administrator.

2024年2月25日 · All systems in the full database are set to ID Scan. ProScan has a tool "Modify Uniden (HPDB)" that can change the full database systems to ID Search. One problem with that is if Sentinel updates the full database then they will go back to ID Scan and the "Modify Uniden (HPDB)" tool has to be used again.
