2021年2月14日 · I absolutely hate my girlfriends dog (Maltese Shih Tzu) Begin rant: I cannot stand it. In fact, I can't stand the entire breed. Small, ugly, yappy, stupid dogs - I don't see the point of them. This dog is painfully dumb, loud, yappy, growls and doesn't do what it's told. it's also needy, whiney, dirty and just plain ugly.

2021年3月24日 · Perhaps it went to someone else that loves shih tzus and is around all day to take care of it. Re: the consent thing, that's weirdly common. Nobody will agree to giving their dog away even if it's best for everyone, so people often ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

However, he got a laceration/ulcer on his eye that ruptured (we’ve been taking him to the vet through all of this). We check in with the vet again on Monday, but the vet said as of right now, his eye doesn’t have to be removed (though unfortunately he’ll never see out of that eye again). We’re working on eradicating the infection.

Is it normal for Shih-Tzu's to something breath quite fast?
2020年7月27日 · Doesn't happen all the time, just when he's playing / excited or something. It's not like a full on pant, like like a mini pant, but when he does pan normally, when he's excited or he's been playing, he pants very fast. If he's not playing / excited, he breaths normally though snorts at times. Snores when he sleeps.

Yes. Shih Tzus actually have a reputation for being "dumb" because of how stubborn compared to a Lab or your Border Collie in terms of trainability. A Lab will do something to please its owner. A Shih Tzu will do something if, and only if, it's advantageous to them in some way.
