But if you bolted it directly to an aluminum member of the boat it could eventually wear through at the contact points. To remedy that you could use thin sheets of plastic or rubber and put it between the plywood and the aluminum.

2011年4月15日 · The chemical that's used in pressure treated plywood will corrode aluminum. The glue used in exterior plywood is the same as marine grade. Marine grade uses better wood. 2005年10月18日 · Treated wood has CCA (copper chromate...) it will galvanize aluminum if wet and prolonged contact the end result would be aggressive corrosion. The smartest would be to buy CCA free wood or the suggestion of poly was a great idea. I wouldn't trust anything like CCA near aluminum touching or not.

2019年10月10日 · being in cold storage is not bad on guns, going from warm to cold and back to warm will cause condensation inside your safe, I would remove the action from the stock and apply a coat of Clenzoil to all metal and put back in the stock, I personally would look for clement controlled storage. I have no experience with silicone gun sock.
