The Taipei Zoo, sometimes referred to as the Muzha Zoo, is a public zoological garden in Wenshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the most famous zoological garden in Taiwan and a leader in conservation, research and education, and recreation.

Highlights include the Pandas, Elephants and Tigers. Only 60 TWD. Slightly far away at the end of a metro line, but the nearby Gondola can be made part of the trip. I really enjoyed the zoo. It it a good size zoo and have diverse collection of animals from around the world. Not as big or diverse as the San Diego zoo but glad I visited.

Once you enter Taipei Zoo, no refunds are available. For re-entry, please put a stamp on your hand at the exit. Unused tickets can only be refunded before 4:00pm on the day of your visit.

The zoo is closed to the public on Chinese New Year's Eve (Jan 28, 2025) and late June (From Jun 18 to Jun 27, 2025).. The zoo will be closed on days when the Taipei City Government announces natural disasters (e.g., typhoon).

The Taipei Zoo is a great destination if you are planning to visit Taipei with your family. The giant pandas, Formosan black bears, the African animal area, and the Rainforest Pangolin Dome are must-see exhibits in my opinion.
