Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) is the premier maritime law enforcement force functions under the Ministry of Defence. SLCG is established under the ‘Department of Coast Guard Act No. 41 of 2009’ as a multi-mission service for the purpose of ensuring the security of the coastal areas ,the Maritime Zones, the territorial waters and the High seas.
