This contingency plan will be implemented in the event of a spill of hazardous waste, fire, any explosion, or a combination of these. Additionally, the contingency plan will be implemented if the emergency coordinator determines that a threat to human health or the environment exists.
This template is intended to help the owner or operator of a Tier I qualified facility develop a self-certified Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. To use this template, your facility must meet all of the applicability criteria of a Tier I qualified facility listed under §112.3(g)(1) of the SPCC rule.
The general spill response procedure at this facility is to stop the source of the spill, contain any spilled material, and clean up the spill in a timely manner to prevent accidental injury or other damage.
