The issue is that the descriptor only applies to small characters. No adjective is going to be able to accurately convey that. Something like unwieldy solves the issue of the 24 str barbarian halfling feeling they should be able to wield a heavy weapon without disadvantage. It’s an imperfect descriptor, but it is at least better imo.
