2015年4月24日 · I bought a Ruger American in .22 LR last year and added Weaver #12 bases and a Nikon BDC 150 rimfire scope for it. It's a tack driver. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought another American Rimfire in .17HMR. Just mounted a Leupold 3x9x40 scope that I had stashed from another project.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 1- are the bolts interchangeable with any other manufacturers (Wilson combat, etc) or is it proprietary to Ruger only 2- is it necessary or better to change out the cocking piece to a billet solid piece or just leave the MIM factory piece?

2024年2月14日 · I have the gen 1 Ruger and I use medium height rings and mounted on the picatinny rail on the rifle. I have a 4-12 scope mounted. I have about 3/8" clearance with this setup. I don't like really low scopes mounted on a rifle, I like mine up a bit higher, much more comfortable shooting position.

2024年6月4日 · From the Ruger website, it says the American Gen II Predator in .308 takes AI pattern magazines. Ruger makes 3, 5, and 10 round AI pattern magazines for the Scout and other Hawkeye models. They are NOT interchangable with any AR pattern magazine. The retention methods are totally different.

That was the Bi-Pod I was going to choose but the first Ruger representative didn't think the Ruger factory installed Magpul stock had M-Lok slots on the bottom (6 O'clock side) of the fore end to install that bi-pod. She told me I had to come up with a way to install the bipod from the 3 or 9 O'clock M-Lok slots.

My question is, do I use regular 308 caliber 125 grain bullets from say Speer, or do I need to do the .311 bullets. I'm not sure what the rifle is set up for. Also, what powders have you had the best luck with? I have many different powders for rifles, I have lots of BLC-2.

2020年6月29日 · Can you post a pic of top of the rifle, then 1 of the rings. I have an American Predator, it has a Pic rail already. My wife has a 243 Win in her Mossberg Patriot, it was easy to put a rail on, but she wanted just rings. I put a rail on my 10/22's and on her model 60. I run rings on her WMR and my 30-30. I already had a rail on my MSR.
