2024年10月24日 · 02/06/2024 The International Queen Elisabeth Grand Prize - Queen Mathilde Prize receives € 25,000 and numerous concerts in Belgium and abroad. Dmytro Udovychenko will also have the honour to play the 'Huggins' 1708 Stradivarius for four years, on loan by the Nippon Music Foundation.

From 5 May to 11 June 2025, the Queen Elisabeth Competition will be dedicated to the piano for the 21st time. The candidates' applications have been closed on Wednesday 27 November 2024. The tickets and subscriptions will be on sale as from February 2025.

Founded in 1937 at the instigation of H.M. Queen Elisabeth of Belgium and the renowned Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe, the Queen Elisabeth Competition is an international springboard for exceptional violinists, pianists, singers and cellists.

Every year in May, the Queen Elisabeth Competition organises an international competition for classically trained musicians, aged between 18 and 30 years. In successive years, the Competition focuses on pianists, cellists, singers and violinists.
H.M. Queen Mathilde, the de Launoit family and the different levels of public authority in the country of Belgium award the prizes to the first six laureates of each Competition. The sums for the six unranked laureates are offered with the support of the National Lottery.
In 2022 the Queen Elisabeth Competition will be dedicated to the cello for the second time. From 9 May to 4 June 2022 the best young cellists from the four corners of the world will compete in Brussels.
