2024年12月23日 · Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the four major ancient towns in Guizhou Province. It is located in the southern suburbs of Guiyang City. It was built in 1378 during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and was originally a military stronghold.

Nestled against the mountainside, Qingyan Ancient Town boasts well-preserved city walls constructed with colossal stones perched on cliffs. It is fortified with four gates facing east, west, south, and north. One of the town’s highlights is the exquisite craftsmanship displayed in the stone and wood carvings found throughout its architecture.
